fourpillars.online ("this site") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information You Provide

This site has no registration or membership function. We do not ask visitors to submit names, addresses, phone numbers, or government identifiers.

Information reaches us only in these limited circumstances:

  • Email enquiries — if you write to us, we see your sending address and the contents of your message, and use them to reply and follow up.
  • Comments — the comment feature is provided through Google. If you post a comment, the display name and profile image attached to your Google account become publicly visible. This processing is governed by Google's own policies.

2. Information Collected Automatically

This site is hosted on Blogger, a Google service. In the course of delivering pages to you, the following may be generated and recorded automatically:

  • IP address, access time, browser type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, time spent on them, and the referring source
  • Device type and screen resolution

We use this only in aggregate, to understand which articles are being read and where explanations are falling short. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

3. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Services connected to this site may use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Measuring visits and understanding how the site is used
  • Remembering display preferences for your convenience
  • Serving relevant advertising and limiting how often the same advertisement is shown

5. Retention and Deletion

Email enquiries — the sending address and message contents — are deleted once the exchange is complete and there is no further reason to retain them.

Data collected and stored independently by Blogger and by third-party services is retained according to those providers' own policies, over which we have no control.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information, and we do not share it with third parties except where disclosure is required by law through a valid legal process.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may at any time:

  • Request access to, or deletion of, an enquiry you have sent us
  • Request removal of a comment you have posted
  • Block cookies and opt out of personalised advertising, as described above

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, applicable law may give you additional rights, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing.

If you are a California resident, applicable law may give you the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these, write to the address in Section 9. We will confirm what we hold and act on your request.

8. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold). If we become aware that such information has reached us, we delete it promptly.
